X-rays taken, Dr visited and while I was not too far off in my training management, some adjustments have been needed and made. Getting after it! A GPS says "recalculating" after you miss a turn it told you to take, then it comes up with a new route based on your current position. It doesn't call you a dumbass, it simply says "recalculating" which lets everyone in the car know you are a dumbass without it having to actually say so.
Now I'm not saying I'm a dumbass, maybe I am, but my body has been saying to take a new route for a few years now and after the Sherwood Park Classic it was time to recalculate and instead of coming up with a new route I have decided to have some x-rays done on the feet. I have worked through the many scenarios that would be feet related, plantar, achilles etx and have made gains but cannot seem to break through and after one last warm up and warm down in, what I would phrase as extreme discomfort, it is time to get to the route of the problem and then map a plan to get after it. I feel I mapped a plan to work through the back pain of the past and I am confident I can do that again for the feet and get after it once again. So for now the strength work continues, we pull out the sketch book and wait on test results... |
